We sing of stars, we reach for the stars.
We idolise “the stars”.
When we are “seeing stars” we can feel dizzy.
Drawn stars can be a combination of triangles, interlocking and tessellating (see Hilma af Klint. No. A) or free drawn (see Matisse, icarus from Jazz 1947).
The star with its typical five points prompts us to believe and dream.
Task:
- Draw a star with five points.
- Write one wish-word “inside” your star for today.
- On each point write an action that supports the realisation of your starry wish.
- The top point symbolises your head – what will you think, mentally rehearse?
- The two side points symbolise your two hands – what will you do with your hands?
- The two lower points symbolise your two feet – where will you walk/move to realise your wish?
A wish is a spark from our imaginations, a dream or a portal that can take us to a new reality.
Wishing and dreaming is a catalyst to action. The dopamine rush of wishing is fun, playful and spontaneous. But acting upon that wish takes courage and perseverance.
Not all wishes need to come true but it is nice if some do.
Use this 5 star technique to realise one small wish today!
Until next time,
Dr. Mon x
